Switchboard is built to be quiet, useful, and easy to leave alone until you need it. Still, the best improvements usually start with a real person saying, “this bit could work better”.
If something is broken, unclear, missing, or surprisingly useful, I would love to hear from you.

The simplest way to reach us is by email. Switchboard does not use an embedded contact form, so your message stays between you and your email provider rather than passing through another form service.
A useful bug report includes the tool you were using, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and your browser or device. Screenshots and sample files can help, but please remove any sensitive, confidential, or personal information before you send them.
Open source and contributions
Switchboard is open source under the MIT Licence. If you would like to inspect the code, improve the docs, fix something, or add a new tool, the Switchboard GitHub repository is the best place to start.
The project has room for all kinds of useful contributions: a thoughtful issue, a clear bug report, a documentation fix, a new converter, or a small improvement that makes the interface easier for someone else to use.

Switchboard processes files and conversion inputs locally in your browser. We cannot see the local files or text you work with, and we cannot recover anything that gets cleared from your device.
